Sony MDR 7506 vs Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro As well as listening to music, I use these headphones for watching TV. These remind me a lot of the MDR-V6 headphones I bought from Tower Records in Nashville in the early '90s but which finally gave up after I'd used them for close to 30 years. These don't have as much bass as the V6s did, and the highs are a bit brighter, but it would be to my advantage if they lasted as long as the V6s did. As an audio engineer, I can say that these are two quite distinct pairs of headphones, each with its own set of strengths and weaknesses in terms of sound quality. For the sake of brevity, I'll avoid the technical terms and instead sum up: The Audio Technica M50x is a top-tier all-around headset that excels in music listening and performs admirably in gaming.
This professional-grade, unobtrusive, and lightweight reference headset was made for extended durations of usage in broadcasting and recording studios. The 40mm PET diaphragm and neodymium magnet deliver sound quality that exceeds the norm for digital audio. These foldable headphones with a large diaphragm are well made and provide excellent noise isolation thanks to their closed-ear design. The 9.8-foot-long cord is permanently attached at its gold-plated plug. This set comes with a 1/4-inch adaptor.
They work wonderfully for both recording in a studio or live performances thanks to their crisp, high-resolution sound. 3,0 meter long wire with a single side. The sturdy, adjustable, and padded headband design makes for a pleasant wearing experience. job that stands the test of time and is built to last. created in Germany. Modified bass reflex system. Closed, over-the-ear headphones designed for use in professional recording and monitoring environments. The adjustable and comfortable headband is made of spring steel. The plush, adjustable earcups are a welcome bonus while wearing the headphones for extended periods of time. The noise isolation and comfort provided by the closed-ear design are first-rate. It can be compactly folded into a carry-on bag or stowed away easily. It is recommended to utilize 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets to achieve a powerful and detailed sound. Frequency of 10 Hz to 20 kHz When high-quality audio is required, turn to the Sony MDR7506 Professional Stereo Headphones for usage in studios, broadcasting, filmmaking, videography, and electronic newsgathering. The DT 770 PRO headphones are still widely used in studios throughout the world by music producers, sound engineers, and broadcasters. The spacious reproduction is remarkable for closed headphones, and the bass reference capabilities are just the icing on the cake for professionals. Maximum comfort is ensured by the soft, circumaural, and detachable velour ear cushions.
The high impedance of these 250 ohm headphones is a big selling point for me. I constructed a vacuum tube amplifier with a nominal impedance of 600 ohms. It appears to manage 32 ohm headphones, however 600 ohm headphones are recommended for optimal performance. Even at high levels, there is hardly any leakage. It would take an intolerably high volume for me to detect even a slight sound leak. Background noise is reduced but not eliminated. I wore these on a plane trip and could still clearly hear the engines.
