 The Delta website contains a wealth of useful information, and their customer service representatives are outstanding. I called them three or four times with inquiries about my shower makeover, and they had excellent advice. Instead of a diverter, most real plumbers just use a second valve. It's less expensive, and components are readily available. Run 3/4" to the shower and feed both shower valves with a 3/4 x 1/2 x 1/2 Tee. Personally, I feed most showers with 3/4" PEX straight to the valve, but this requires a 3/4" PEX x!/2" Copper Sweat Insert, which most plumbers do.
